PYR test strip for Group A Streptococcus
PYR test
The Presence of the enzyme PYR is often tested to distinguish S. pyogenes from other beta-hemolytic streptococci. Hydrolysis of L-pyrrolidony-β-naphthylamide by the enzyme to β-naohthylamine produces a red color with the addition of the chromogenic reagent. It is important to distinguish Group A Streptococcus from Enterococcus prior to PYR test .It can be used together with other test products flexibly.
Directions:
Step1 Wet the test area with Buffer Solution A
Step2 Pick the colony fromthe suitable agar with a loop and smearthem on the test area.
Step3 Incubate at 35 °C for 5-10min in a sealed container
Step4 DropBuffer Solution B on test area which colony was smeared and
observe whether it becomes redor not.
Notice:
1.Check the product appearance before use, or else do quality control and discard
2.Only be used once
3.Store at 2-8℃,away from light
4. Use safely.
5. Get and store immediately.
6. Put unspent products back to the packaging bag on request.
7. After use, products should be discarded.
